4 Steady and Lucrative Careers Worth Switching To

4 Steady and Lucrative Careers Worth Switching To

The average person changes their career anywhere from five to seven times during their life. Changes in job growth, salary, and automation can quickly turn a job you’ve trained for into an irrelevant career field that doesn’t work for you. If you’re looking to change career paths to find a career you’re good at and pays well, here are a few job opportunities with rising job growth and decent wages.

1. Industrial Engineer

Industrial engineers design, build, and maintain systems that different industries rely on to create, manufacture, and provide goods and services. If you’re looking for a specific field in which to become an industrial engineer, the solar power industry may be a good choice for job growth.

Solar jobs have increased by 160% since 2010. That’s nine times the national average job growth rate in the last five years. With green energy becoming increasingly popular and increasingly affordable, the solar power industry makes for a great field to consider investing your career in. Solar power offers many job opportunities, including jobs in scientific research, solar power engineering, manufacturing, plant development, and plant construction.

2. Master Electrician

Speaking of power, electricity is still an essential power source for homes and businesses alike. Electricians design, install, and maintain electrical wiring and transmission lines for buildings. Master electricians train for approximately eight years to reach their job status. However, because the salary of a master electrician ranges up to $92,000 and job growth is 14%, the path toward becoming a master electrician can be a steady one.

3. Management Analyst

Management analysts and consultants help businesses determine the best possible ways to succeed and run more efficiently. They advise CEOs and managers on how to boost revenue, reduce costs, and improve procedures by analyzing financial data and interviewing employees. Because there are so many different types of businesses and practices that can benefit from the work of management analysts, the job growth for this position is pretty good. By 2029, the field is expected to grow by up to 11%.

4. Dental Hygienist

Dental hygiene is essential for our health, which makes the job of a dental hygienist great for those looking for steady and stable careers. A dental hygienist is a licensed dental professional who examines patients for oral diseases and provides preventative care. The job growth for this field is 19%. If you’re feeling even more ambitious, you may even be able to open your own dental practice as a dental hygienist in certain states like Colorado. However, if you’re looking to transition into a dental practice, you’ll need to formulate a plan with four people: a financier, consultant, appraiser, and attorney.

A wide range of lucrative jobs are becoming increasingly popular with today’s job seekers. If you’re looking to switch to a new field, consider one of the jobs listed above to find a new career in which you can excel.
